- 4Click Load unpacked and pick the unzipped folder. Done.

What it does
Finds VINs automatically. Open a listing and it scans the page, then shows a check button for the VIN it found.
Right-click any VIN. Highlight a VIN anywhere at all and choose “Check this VIN's history”.
Free decoding in the popup. Paste a VIN into the toolbar popup for instant year, make, model, trim, engine and drivetrain.

Used-car shopping is a browser-tab sport. You compare a dozen listings at once, and every history check means selecting a 17-character string, copying it, switching tabs and pasting it in. Do that fifteen times and you stop bothering — which is precisely when a bad car slips through.
The extension does the reading for you. Open a listing on a supported site and it scans the page, finds the VIN and offers a check button in the corner. Select a VIN anywhere else and right-click to send it straight through. The toolbar popup decodes specs free if that is all you need.
Permissions, plainly
It activates only on car listing sites. A VIN leaves your browser only at the moment you click decode or open a report — never in the background. No analytics, no browsing history, and the full source ships inside the download so you can check that claim yourself.
