You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of your account and for all activities under it. CheapestCarFax may reclaim, suspend, or terminate an account at any time for violations of these Terms or suspected abuse. Account sharing is prohibited.
3. Purchases & Refunds
All purchases on CheapestCarFax are final and non-refundable. Vehicle history report credits are eligible for a full refund only if a report fails to generate through the Service. Refunds will not be issued for duplicates or user error. Credit purchases are non-refundable even if the Service is later modified or discontinued.
Initiating a payment dispute or chargeback without first contacting support may result in service suspension. Unpaid invoices may be referred to collections where permitted by law.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to misuse the Service. Prohibited activities include but are not limited to:
- Attempting to access accounts or data belonging to others.
- Automated scraping or bulk querying without authorization.
- Using the Service for any unlawful purpose.
- Attempting to reverse-engineer or interfere with the Service's infrastructure.
- Reselling reports or data obtained through the Service without authorization.
5. Trademarks & Third-Party Content
Third-party names, trademarks, and logos (e.g., CARFAX®, AutoCheck®) are the property of their respective owners. Any use on the Service is for identification, reference, or comparison purposes and does not imply endorsement or affiliation. CheapestCarFax is not affiliated with CARFAX, Inc. or Equifax.
6. Report Accuracy
Vehicle history reports are provided based on data available in national databases. CheapestCarFax does not guarantee that reports are complete, accurate, or error-free. Reports should be used as one input in a vehicle purchase decision, not as the sole determinant. Always have a vehicle inspected by a qualified mechanic before purchase.
7. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. CheapestCarFax does not guarantee that reports or results will be accurate, complete, or error-free, or that the Service will be uninterrupted.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CheapestCarFax, its owners, and operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenues, data, or goodwill arising out of or related to your use of the Service.
8. Changes to the Service or Terms
We may update these Terms or the Service at any time. Material changes will be posted on the site or provided through another reasonable method. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
